after we went to H.O.V the last week , on the way home we notice
there were lights on over at the Maloof park . i figure every one was
beat . Matt pulled his groin me and peter had to get up early for work
and we all where on the same page of going home .
i was wrong as everyone yell at me to make a u-turn to go check it out !
we stop for like 20 minuets . The park kids stole the construction lights thru
out the flushing meadows park and lit up the skate park part for a night session .. MATT threw this all down in
like 15 minuets and then we were out !

About a week ago I was flying away on a plane for the first time to california. I couldn’t sit in my sit without moving. Sooner or later I landed and was chillen in a hotel room with kids around the whole world. It was epic. Then we were on our way to element skate camp stoping at the cooliest parks on the way there. Unfortunatley I rolled my ankle during the contest which I shouldn’t of went crazy because I was going to go to the berrics the next day. But the trip was amazing and I cant be too mad about it. ~frankie spears

Well i've been M.I.A this week . my friend Daina
hook me up with a painting job which helped
me pay my rent this month . things are tuff
out there right now .

Daina's moon ..

So thats were i've been . it took a few days
we've got done with the job early saturday , which
was just in time for the Bodega bar crawl .
which there were more Hazel riders
then Bodega guys ?

the Poets guys pick me up and we headed
to meet the rest of the crew at kcdc
which no one was at . so we made ourway to the fist bar .
we caught the end of happy hour @ SAINT VITUS- 1120 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn 11222 .
it's metal bar pretty dark and very cool.

i downed a two for one , looked around and realize i was the
only one drinking .. then realize i was the only one in the bar
everyone was out side . rich came and got me and told me
they were headed to the next stop , that people got lost and
were going to meet up at
ENIDS- 560 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn 11222
down the block .

powered by st . vitus house brew i took off
down the block to the next spot , matt & rich
hit up some kids on the way and sold a board for some beer money .
which made me the only one
at ENIDS also . i killed a High Life , sweating bullets . by this time
i was getting bummed ! were the hell is everyone ?

i met those guys out side the bar and they tell me there a car full of the crew
lost in harlem and the others are over at the THE CHARLESTON- 174 Bedford Ave, Brooklyn
so we headed there .

Oscar showed up then vicky

then NYSKATEBOARDING Rick showed up

ok here we go
FUSCH , ALTON , JJ , AND ABOUT 8 MORE HEADS SHOWED
UP . finally we have a crew . we WERE EATING BAR PIZZA and
DRINKING then everyone wanted to blow off the last two bars and just go to MAX FISH
UGH i dont hate the bar . but that place on a friday night just sucks .

any way some of them drove over the bridge . i wanted to drive with them
for the only reason is that i hate bridges and heights ..
but i said i'll skate the bar crawl and i wouldn't bitch out .
so i took it to the bridge .

i made it to the top slowly but i made it and i took the bomb down .
i never bombed the bridge . i had on some 58 mm and brand new swiss
and being 260 with about 12 beers in me . I WAS going pretty dam fast ..
i didn't make it , i was doing at least 30 mph and i lost control , about 20 yards from the bottom. it happens
it happen ..

got to the fish and got really shitty with the fellers.

then some how ended up in babylon .
at thats shit hole mary carols . i hate this bar
all i did was want to go home or to another bar , any were !
i swindle a ride about 6 miles from my house .

about 5 am . 6 bucks in my pocket
i flagged a cab and made it as far as my moms house
which was fine thats were my dog was. that i haven't seen in a week.

we crawled in to a ball on the floor snuggle and i slept the hang over
off ....

was sent this today after telling frank the story

sunday sore and beatin up i decided the movies would be the right move .
that was my weekend review . i left a few facts out to protect the

ENDED UP DRINKING WITH A THIS DOG , COPS , GROUPIES THAT WERE KICK OUT OF SOME RECORDING
STUDIO ALONG WITH THE BAND PHOTOGRAPHERS AND MY FRIEND .

AFTER WAKING UP THE NEXT DAY SOMEWERE IN BUSHWICK . I HEADED TO THE MALOOF MONEY CUP.
I MESS UP THINKING IT WAS the AM contest that was just qualifying runs for the pro's.
AFTER A FEW HOURS WITH NO FOOD BECAUSE I'M BROKE AND THEY MADE ME TROW OUT MY COFFEE WHEN I WALKED IN , MY DRINKING NIGHT WAS CREEPING
UP ON ME AND I NEEDED A SHOWER .

I CALLED THE MAN BRENNO , HE HOOKED IT UP .

NOW I WAS FRESH AND CLEAN FOR THE .H.O.V PARTY .
THE RONZ MET RON CHATMEN AND FLIPED BUGERS ALL NIGHT

IT WAS THE RELEASED PARTY FOR THE
GOFF ROWELY SHOE AND HAD ALOT OF REALLY GOOD LOOK WOMEN ,
GOOD FOOD COLD BEER AND
A DOOM METAL BAND PLAY CALLED
HIGH OF FIRE . VANS HOOKS IT UP ..

AFTER SOME FREE DINNER AND DRINKS . I HEADED TO A LOCAL BAR AND MET
A BUNCH OF OLD FRIENDS FOR SOME OLD JOKES AND MORE DRINKS .
THE
NIGHT TOOK ON ITS OWN STORYS FOR EACH OF US .

CLOSEING OUT THE BAR WITH 5 HOT AUSTRALIAN
WOMEN CIRCUS PERFORMERS , WE GOT SAN LOCO AND MADE IT BACK TO
OUR HOMES 30 MILES AWAY SAFE AND SOUND

SO ROLLING IN AT 6 AND TRYING TO BE BACK AT
MALOOF FOR THE am CONTEST AT 10 WASN'T HAPPING .
CALLED PAULIE AND SCOTT GOT SOME COFFEE AND HEAED OUT

I GET PHONE CALL WHILE HEAED THERE TELLING ME THAT MATT CARTLEDGE AND FRANKIE SPEARS
GOT IN TO THE am CONTEST AND MATT MADE IT TO THE FINALS . SWEET

so i went out for the company christmas party . i hate my job but all the guys i work with are all pretty
good guys . BUT whatever they all pussy out and left me and the fireman to drink by our self .
so we headed to a bar down the street were at least the bartender is good looking ..
now am sitting there i see this guy .
i know this guy ? it comes to me and am like " yo ! i gave you my first pro skateboard" he smiles and laughs . we get to talking all about it . i remember giving it to him because i knew he was a skateboarded you could just see it sometimes . and i loved back then when people skated it was a small community . he was kind of a loner didnt really hang out with the skaters ( it was the 80's there were clicks ) but when i saw him he was always doing something
cool and different . i like that maybe thats why he sticks out in my mine outta of alot of people that skated back then .
i ask if he still had my board . which he didn't! but he goes i still have a few do you want them ..
am like fuck yeah i love that shit .. IT wAS A great dunking talk ,
i had with him . he asked for my address i gave it to him not thinking really he was ever going to drop off boards for me . (Reminder) this was last night.
i wake up and there a
cab and a tony hawk complete on my front stoop , BY THE WAY am still drunk right now and this was just as good to me as waking up next to a women .
fucking amazing . some people just restore my faith that every one is not just out for them self

just got a email from STEVE ZACHAREVITS about the fee's for the north port park that goes like this :
I just was on your website and I think I can straighten out the confusion. If you buy the $50 rec card for one year that’s it not having to pay the $10 to skate every time you show up.
Only shitting thing is the card is based on the calendar year.
So if you buy a card tomorrow it will only be good till the end of the year and still cost you $50.
Town of Huntington resident pay $20 for two years if over 17 and $10 if under 17.

so i went to the grand opening of the north-port park
i still haven't got a straight answer for the non resident fee .
is it $50 bucks for the year ? or is $50 bucks for the year and $10 bucks
a session every-time i want to skate it ? ask a few people got emails that are confusing . so i don't know weather to be bummed out or not . i have no problem with $ 50 bucks for the year . thats fine but if i have to pay $10 every session after buying the $50 card then thats a problem for me and am sure or everyone else .that want to get there shred on .

just like u i've been wondering about the north port skate park .
so i wrote to the town and the guy in charge and he gave HAZEL THE low down .
it's happing ! we will soon have a cement park.

THIS IS WHAT WAS SENT TO ME :
Park is underway with some site work being done i.e. drainage and retaining walls. California should be on site the beginning of May to start the concrete. we have final got the town to relax the rules at the Greenlawn park and the same will carry over to the new park when completed. Parks will be open from dawn to dusk unsupervised and only requirement will be a helmet with skate at your our risk policy. Town would not give in on the total no helmet/pads requirements but I would think once the new park opens you would not want to be skating the bowl/flow without at least a helmet. Bowl and flow section will both have a maximum depth of 9 feet.
